About Us

Luggage With Hope of WNY, Inc. was established to make sure that children in foster care in the Western New York area have a piece of luggage in which they can safely and confidently transport their personal belongings.

Help us provide local children in foster care with a piece of luggage they can call their own. We are a non for profit organization with 501c3 status.

Needed Donations

We are collecting NEW luggage, backpacks, duffels and diaper bags to provide to children in WNY foster care so that they can carry their personal belongings in a safe, clean bag to call their own.

Drop Off Locations

We are currently working with several businesses, organizations, and townships to establish donation sites. If you have a secure location, and are able to provide space for drop off donations of bags, luggage, totes, etc, please contact us. We will provide you with signage, and we will pick up the donations at your convenience.

Guidelines for Donation

  • We are requesting only NEW luggage pieces geared towards children in the foster care system.
     

  • We seek items in excellent condition, as we do not have the means to clean or repair items.
     

  • Carry on size and medium size roller suitcase, backpacks, duffel bags, and diaper bags.
     

  • We also encourage monetary donations so that we may purchase items specifically needed.

Donations

Monetary donations are used to purchase luggage for these children. The average piece of durable luggage is $25. No donation too small.

We are always seeking volunteers to assist in planning events, coordinating, fundraising etc.

Areas we are seeking support:

  • Social Media & Web Content

  • Delivery/Pickup

  • Cleaning - Dry Cleaning Services etc.

  • Office related skills (MS Word, Excel, Access)

  • Merchandising & Donation Coordination
